JULY
Switlick & Sons Inc., Athens, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on July 3 to reduce a $1,600 specific-excavation-requirements citation to $900. The company was issued the citation June 12 during a water- and sewer-line job in Abbotsford.
AUGUST
Merrill Gravel & Construction Co., Merrill, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Aug. 11 to reduce two specific-excavation-requirements citations, totaling $3,750, to $2,625. The company was issued the citations July 23 during a highway and street job at 3505 Stewart Ave., Wausau.
LMS Construction Inc., Pardeeville, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Aug. 13 to reduce a $2,000 requirements-for-excavation-protective-systems citation to $1,400 and a $1,400 ladders citation to $980. The company was issued the citations Aug. 7 during a water- and sewer-line job in Waunakee.
Joe Daniels Construction Co. Inc., Madison, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Aug. 27 to pay a $3,000 requirements-for-excavation-protective-systems citation and dismiss a $3,000 requirements-for-excavation-protective-systems citation. The company was issued the citations Aug. 12 during a water- and sewer-line job at 1012 Gorham St., Madison.

Berger Built Construction Co. Inc., Mahtomedi, Minn., reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Sept. 4 to reduce a $450 eye-and-face-protection citation to $270 and a $1,500 scaffolding citation to $900. The company was issued the citations Aug. 27 during a single-family housing job at 50 Meadowlark Drive, Hudson.
Landgraf Construction Inc., Madison, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Sept. 9 to dismiss a $600 hazard-communication citation and to pay a $600 eye-and-face-protection citation. The company was issued the citations Aug. 20 during an industrial-building job in Madison.
Landgraf Construction Inc., Madison, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Sept. 9 to reduce a $1,500 fall-protection-training citation to zero and to pay a $1,500 fall-protection citation. The company was issued the citations Aug. 20 during a nonresidential building job at 222 W. Main St., Madison.
Pember Companies Inc., Menomonie, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Sept. 9 to reduce a $1,500 fall-protection citation to $900. The company was issued the citation Aug. 20 during a water- and sewer-line job at 620 Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire.
