Madison budget meetings announced (5:07 p.m. 8/3/09)

Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz announced Monday he will host three public meetings this month on the city of Madison budget.

The meetings will be held:

*Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Central Library, 201 W. Mifflin St.

*Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the East District Police Station, 809 S. Thompson Drive

*Monday, Aug. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alicia Ashman Branch Library, 733 N. High Point Road

Cieslewicz will introduce his capital budget Sept. 1 and his operating budget Oct. 6. The Common Council will hold hearings in the fall, with final action scheduled for the week of Nov. 9.
