Workers with O & M Excavating & Grading Inc., Union Grove, take down the structure of the failed Iceport project in Cudahy. The city hired O & M to demolish the structure after buying the 31.2-acre property at a foreclosure auction. It will take four to six weeks to take down the iron structure. City officials plan to redevelop the site, which was slated for a 220,000-square-foot, two-story Iceport ice rink and retail complex. The ice rink project failed in 2004.
