The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin on Friday announced it is seeking public comment on a draft set of rules for wind turbine placement.
The proposed rules will ultimately result in uniform turbine placement standards for local units of government in Wisconsin and ensure consistency in local regulation of wind energy systems.
The draft rules can be viewed on the Web, and the PSC will accept public comments through July 7.
The PSC’s Wind Siting Council, which will recommend specifics about wind turbine placement, is expected to make its final recommendations this summer.
