The Milwaukee-owned Tower Automotive location had a $53,000 lien issued against the property last week following a dispute between two contractors.

PERI Formwork Systems Inc., Elkridge, Md., is seeking $53,028 in unpaid work and labor conducted on the high-speed train manufacturing plant. The company claimed it still has not been paid by the hiring contractor, Champion Environmental Services, Gilberts, Ill., for labor and concrete formwork equipment.

The city is spearheading the $6 million renovation project to revitalize the former Tower Automotive property. Talgo Inc., a Spanish train set maker, has already entertained contracts to build high-speed trains for Wisconsin and Oregon, among others.
