The village of Necedah will receive a $112,000 community development grant for a water main project.
The project consists of the extension of 3,800 feet of water main connecting the MVP Business Center to the village water distribution system. High levels of nitrates were discovered in the private well currently being used by the business center.
The grant from the Community Development Block Grant – Public Facilities for Economic Development program will save 53 jobs at six businesses, according to a news release from the newly formed Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.
