The state listed the construction cost estimate for this project at $8,200,000.
Here is a brief rundown of the apparent low bidders: The Boldt Co., Appleton, is the only company that submitted a bid for the entire project at $7,525,000. And the apparent low bidders for the individual work categories (base bids only) are Howard Immel Inc., Green Bay, for the general construction work at $4,468,632; Fireline Sprinkler Corp., Appleton, for the Fire Suppression work at $193,000; Portside Plumbing & Mechanical LLP, Sheboygan, for the plumbing work at $189,700; J & H Heating Inc., Port Washington, for the HVAC work at $1,107,382; and Specht Electric Co. Inc., Fond du Lac, for the electrical work at $807,829.
Plus there are quite a few alternate bids, especially for the general work, that may or may not affect the contract award outcome.
A complete listing of all the base bids for this project is posted on our JobTrac online service and will appear in The Daily Reporter on Monday.
