Babcock & Wilcox gets contract for Wis. coal plant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – Power plant equipment maker Babcock & Wilcox Co. said on Monday that it has gotten a $150 million contract to design, supply, and build environmental equipment for a coal-fired power plant in Pardeeville, Wis.
Babcock said it will do the work for Alliant Energy’s Wisconsin Power and Light Co.
Babcock said engineering work has begun and construction will begin in October.
