State to get $14.2 million for local road improvements

Gov. on Wednesday announced the state will receive $14,226,424 for town road and municipal street improvement projects, according to a news release.

Fifty-eight projects will receive $11.6 million through ‘s Town Road Discretionary Improvement program, according to the news release. The Municipal Street Discretionary Improvement Program, according to the release, will award eight projects nearly $2.7 million.

Projects are selected based on recommendations from statewide committees, including the , and the .
