ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) – Outdoor retailer Cabela’s will open on a store on property owned by the Green Bay Packers.
Packers CEO Mark Murphy said Friday Cabela’s will build a store near the intersection of Highway 41 and Lombardi Avenue in Ashwaubenon.
WLUK-TV says the Packers organization has been trying to develop the property for a couple of years. But, part of the property is a wetland. The Legislature last year changed the law, allowing the site to be developed.
Construction is scheduled to begin this fall and Cabela’s plans to open the store in the summer of 2013. It’s Cabela’s third store in Wisconsin.
