GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – A new walking trail highlighting landmarks in Green Bay Packers history is set to open next month.
The Packers Heritage Trail features 17 bronze plaques that describe the significance of each landmark. All are within a mile of downtown Green Bay. The Hotel Northland is where Vince Lombardi held his introductory news conference in 1959. The Northern Building is where Curly Lambeau had an office while he was coaching the Packers while holding down a job for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance.

The self-guided tour covers about 4 miles. WLUK-TV says all the plaques will be installed by June 15. Former Packers beat reporter Cliff Christl spearheaded the project.
