US2/WIS 13 roundabout opens

The U.S. 2/WIS 13 roundabout in Superior is now open to traffic, according to a news release from WisDOT.

Both eastbound and westbound traffic on U.S. 2 will be using the roundabout, while the existing pavement on the bypass lane is reconstructed. Eastbound traffic on U.S. 2 will be routed through the roundabout for about three weeks, after which the eastbound U.S. 2 bypass lane will be open.

Work on the $2.1 million project began on April 23 and is scheduled to be complete in mid- to late-September.
