The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 16 to discuss a proposed reconstruction project for a half-mile stretch of Highway 20 in Sturtevant.
The project, which is scheduled for 2014, will repair pavement from County H to 90th Street, replace traffic signals and add a warning beacon at the Canadian Pacific Railway overpass, according to a news release.
WisDOT also expects to enhance crosswalks and remove unused driveways.
Highway 20 will remain open with temporary closures during the project.
The meeting will be held in Community Room 1 at the Mount Pleasant Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive, Mount Pleasant.
