WisDOT wants to know how drivers select routes

Results from a survey aimed at gauging how commuters and commercial drivers select routes will be used to improve how travel and detour information is shared, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Texas A&M Transportation Institute, College Station, Texas, is assisting WisDOT with the survey, which runs through Sept. 8. The survey seeks to identify how drivers decide which route to take, how they decide whether to take a detour and what information WisDOT should provide to help drivers make those decisions.

The survey is available at www.wisconsintravelsurvey.org, and a version of the survey specific to commercial drivers is available at www.WisDOTtrucksurvey.org.
