VILLAGE OF HUSTISFORD, Wis. (AP) – A large concrete block has fallen off a dam in southeastern Wisconsin and injured a worker.

Dodge County authorities say work was being done on the block on the Lake Sinissippi Dam when it fell Thursday in the village of Hustisford.

Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Smith said the block trapped a person. Several fire departments, EMS and police agencies were on the scene and were able to free the worker.

The worker survived but no condition report is available.

Authorities were working to get a large crane from Milwaukee to the scene, but the worker was rescued before the crane could arrive.

DNR dam experts are on the scene. Authorities say there is no significant danger of the dam breeching.
