Public meeting set for Highway 52 in Wausau

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is conducting a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to Highway 52 from 17th Avenue to 1st Street in Wausau.

The meeting is scheduled to take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Council Chambers at the Wausau City Hall, 407 Grant St., Wausau.

Proposed improvements include resurfacing and reconditioning the roadway and replacement of deteriorated storm sewer inlets. Construction is scheduled for spring 2015 and should be completed by fall 2015. Highway 52 will remain open to at least one lane of traffic in each direction during construction, according to a news release from WisDOT.
