WisDOT to install rumble strips throughout Sept.

Work to add centerline rumble strips on four highways will begin Sept. 18 in Racine, Walworth, Waukesha and Washington Counties, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation news release.

Drivers will encounter single-lane closures as crews install the rumble strips.

Rumble strips will be installed on U.S. 12 in Walworth County from Whitewater to the intersection with Highway 20/11, in Racine County from Highway 36/83 to a point about 1 mile east of Highway 75 and from U.S. 45 to Interstate 94, Highway 67 in Waukesha County from Highway 59 to County ZZ, and on Highway 83 in Washington County from Hartford to Highway 175.

WisDOT expects the project to be complete by the end of September.
