STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) — One of several men who allegedly targeted Portage County seasonal homes for burglaries has been found guilty.
A county judge found 19-year-old Zachary Deyo, of Amherst, guilty Monday of 10 counts of burglary for his role in a series of burglaries in fall 2011.
Deyo and several other men are accused of stealing thousands of dollars from seasonal homes and wire out of the machines at Wimme Sand and Gravel construction site.
According to the criminal complaint, the wiring could have led to workers there being electrocuted.
The Stevens Point Journal reports he could be sentenced up to 120 years in prison and receive $250,000 in fines at his Jan. 4 sentencing.
Another man charged is awaiting a jury trial. Another has a plea hearing in January.
