The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has opened a temporary exit ramp connecting northbound U.S. 45 to Wisconsin Avenue as part of the Zoo Interchange reconstruction project.
As part of the same project, 95th Street is temporarily a cul-de-sac and is closed to through-traffic, and a traffic light has been installed at 97th Street and Bluemound Road, according to a news release from WisDOT.
Zignego Co. Inc., Waukesha, is the contractor on this phase of the Zoo Interchange project, which is expected to be complete in November.
WisDOT expects to reopen 95th Street to through-traffic by 2017.
