Gov. Scott Walker on Tuesday announced nearly $80.5 million in transportation payments have been made to local governments.
Milwaukee County received about $256,000 to help pay for sheriff expressway patrols, according to a list of the payments. The city of Milwaukee received about $446,000 in Connecting Highway Aid to reimburse maintenance and traffic control costs and about $5.6 million in General Transportation Aid to help pay for road construction and maintenance.
