Workers from LaLonde Contractors Inc., Milwaukee, excavate soil from a roadway Thursday on the 1700 block of North Wisconsin Street in Racine. The road will be 18 inches deeper with a new crushed stone base. The road is being rebuilt between High and Goold streets. Photo by Dustin Safranek
