With the U.S. 41 project in progress in the Fox Valley, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation wants drivers to be able to access information about the highway project.

The result is the U.S. 41 project Web site. The site will provide motorist with information they need to make their travels and commutes safe and stress-free throughout the construction project.

The site includes an interactive map showing where construction is taking place, a summary of the project’s special features, an image gallery featuring pictures of the construction as it progresses, information and resources on how to navigate roundabouts, a feedback form and e-mail updates, a closures page highlighting current and upcoming closures affecting entrance and exit ramps and frontage roads along U.S. 41, and videos on various aspects of the project.

A version of the Web site is currently being developed to accommodate mobile handheld devices, according to a press release from WisDOT.
