MILWAUKEE (AP) — A winter storm, expected to bring about a foot of snow to Lake Michigan counties, canceled classes as snow plow drivers worked to keep up with the sustained snowfall Tuesday.

Campbellsport, West Bend, Hartford, Cedarburg and Grafton school districts are among those that called off school.

The National Weather Service posted a winter storm warning for southeastern and east central Wisconsin through Wednesday morning.

A winter weather advisory was issued for the rest of southern Wisconsin and for west central regions and portions in the northeast.
