Job fairs for veterans planned across Wisconsin (8:16 a.m. 3/3/10)

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Eighteen job fairs for veterans living in Wisconsin have been scheduled between now and October.

The first job fair will be March 11 in Madison with the last one Oct. 15 in Superior.

Employment agencies and employers will be there looking to fill openings and veterans can also receive information about state and federal benefits. Veterans can also receive help with updating resumes and improving job interview skills.

The meetings are organized by the state departments of Workforce Development, Military Affairs and Veterans Affairs.
