Construction workers build a new Juneau Avenue bridge using lifts over the Milwaukee River on Monday in Milwaukee.
A bridge inspection will effect traffic on the 6th Street viaduct from Sept. 24 to Oct. 19, according to a city of Milwaukee news release.
State transportation officials are recommending a new two-lane interstate bridge be built over the Mississippi River, next to the existing span in Winona which has been listed as structurally deficient.
