A Milwaukee ordinance designed to direct percentages of city construction contracts to companies owned by blacks, Asians or women is drawing fire from some Hispanic-owned businesses.
Gov. Scott Walker on Friday signed an executive order providing automatic state certification to minority-, woman- and disabled veteran-owned businesses that have been certified in the past, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
