Gov. Scott Walker on Friday signed an executive order providing automatic state certification to minority-, woman- and disabled veteran-owned businesses that have been certified in the past, according to a news release from the governor’s office.

Due to a new city law which went into effect Tuesday, Milwaukee law no longer recognizes Francisco Jaramillo, a Hispanic subcontractor, as a minority owner.
