Manitowoc-based Vinton Construction Co. Inc. has settled a lawsuit with the state for asbestos violations made during demolition of the Eggers Industries building in Manitowoc County. Attorney General J.B. Hoffman Construction Co., Black River Falls, has submitted the low bid for a Highway 41 reconstruction project in Winnebago County. Hoffman’s bid of $34,313,313.13 came in below Manitowoc-based Vinton Construction Co.’s bid of $35,493,909.50. Other bidders for the project were James Peterson Sons Inc., Medford, $35,882,573.95; Michels Corp., Brownsville, $36,367,530.29; and Zignego Co., Waukesha, $36,641,963.20. [...]
