Madison-based Ken Saiki Design Inc. last week presented the city with plans which include a small public building to house restrooms, a police and visitor information office, and a concept for the open land to turn it into a small amphitheater with a stage and lawn seating at Madison’s Lisa Link Peace Park. The city’s Urban Design Commission will hear an informational presentation on the plan Wednesday.

Although the city formed the Lisa Link Peace Park Advisory Committee in 2001 with designs on upgrading the land and the City Council approved conceptual plans in 2004, no projects ever materialized from the several proposals put forward.
