The Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities on Wednesday will hold an executive session on the Assembly version of a bill that would help create state guildelines for wind farm placement.
If passed, the bill will head to the Assembly for a full vote. An identical Senate bill remains at the committee level. Kevin Brady, spokesman for the bill’s author, state Sen. Jeff Plale, D-South Milwaukee, said the Senate committee will hold an executive session after the state budget work is complete.
The bill received a day-long public hearing last month, where several business and labor groups voiced their support for increasing state control while several residents testified against it.
