  • Focus Construction LLC, St. Cloud, Minn., reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 21 to reduce a $750 fall-protection-training citation to zero and two scaffolding citations, totaling $1,500, to $750. The company and OSHA also agreed to dismiss a $750 fall-protection-training citation and three scaffolding citations, totaling $2,250. The company was issued the citations Jan. 8 during a multifamily housing job at 12621 W. Sycamore Court, New Berlin.
  • Cedar Falls Building Systems Inc., Menomonie, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 22 to reduce a $2,000 fall-protection citation to $1,200. The company was issued the citation Jan. 8 during a nonresidential building job at 2650 Fortune Drive, Eau Claire.
  • Dorner Inc., Luxemburg, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 27 to reduce a $1,500 specific-excavations-requirements citation to $900, a $900 ladders citation to $540 and a $42,000 requirements-for-excavation-protective-systems citation to $25,200. The company was issued the citations Jan. 15 during a water- and sewer-line job in Oconomowoc.
  • Krupp General Contractors LLC, Madison, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 29 to reduce a $1,050 electrical-installation-safety-requirements citation to $525 and to dismiss a $600 electrical-installation-safety-requirements citation. The company was issued the citations Jan. 13 during a nonresidential building job in Middleton.
  • Fox Cities Builders LLC, Seymour, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Feb. 2 to pay two aerial-lifts citations, totaling $5,000. The company was issued the citations Jan. 13 during a nonresidential building job in Kewaunee.
  • Robert Everly Masonry, Edgerton, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Feb. 5 to reduce a $750 general-safety-and-health-provisions citation to $300, a $1,500 hand-and-power-tools citation to $600 and a $750 electrical-installation-safety-requirements citation to $300. The company was issued the citations Jan. 21 during a single-family housing job in Janesville.
  • U.S. Grain Storage Systems, Dike, Iowa, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Feb. 13 to reduce a $2,500 arc-welding-and-cutting citation to $875, a $1,750 ladders citation to $612.50, a $1,750 fall-protection-training citation to zero, a $1,750 scaffolding citation to $612.50, a $1,750 stairways-and-ladders-training citation to zero and three fall-protection citations, totaling $5,250, to $1,837.50. The company was issued the citations Dec. 29 during an industrial building job at 898 First Capital Drive, Belmont.
