Generation Growth Capital Inc. and T.L. Reese Corp. acquired J.F. Cook Co. Inc., according to an announcement from General Growth.
Oak Creek-based J.F. Cook, which was established in 1947, is a distributor of overhead doors and windows for residential and commercial projects and was involved in the renovation of Milwaukee City Hall and the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
Troy L. Reese, president of T.L. Reese Corp., is the majority owner of Cook and will take over as president, according to the announcement. T.L. Reese Corp. is a Milwaukee-based minority-owned company.
Generation Growth is a Milwaukee-based firm that provides buyout money to companies. Since being established in 2007, it has made similar deals with Choice Construction Inc., Menomonee Falls; Martell Construction Inc., Green Bay; and Quality Assembly and Logistics LLC, Marinette.
