Gov. Jim Doyle will co-host the Clean Energy Economy Forum on Wednesday in Saginaw, Mich.
The forum will be led by U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke; Ed Montgomery, executive director of the White House Council on Auto Communities and Workers; and David Sandalow, assistant secretary of Energy for Policy and International Affairs.
Doyle will be joined by Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm as co-host.
Locke, Montgomery, and Sandalow will discuss President Barack Obama’s vision for a comprehensive energy plan to jump-start the American clean energy sector and create new jobs using developing technologies that will cut pollution and produce alternative sources of energy. The administration officials and governors will also listen to and answer questions from local and regional stakeholders about energy issues.
