  • Schmidt Builders LLC, Brooklyn, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 5 to reduce a $1,500 fall-protection citation to $600 and a $750 ladders citation to $300. The company and OSHA also agreed to dismiss a $750 fall-protection-training citation. The company was issued the citations Dec. 4 during a roofing job at 9213 Ashworth Drive, Verona.
  • Langer Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc., Milwaukee, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 6 to pay a $4,000 fall-protection citation. The company was issued the citation Dec. 22 during a roofing job at 706 N. Jefferson St., Milwaukee.
  • Hasheider Roofing & Siding Ltd., Prairie du Sac, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 7 to reduce a $700 aerial-lifts citation to $180 and a $700 fall-protection citation to $420. The company was issued the citations Dec. 29 during a siding job in Middleton.
  • Classic Custom Homes LLC, Waunakee, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 7 to reduce a $1,050 fall-protection citation to $315 and to dismiss a $1,050 ladders citation. The company was issued the citations Dec. 18 during a nonresidential building job in Sun Prairie.
  • Livesey Painting Inc., Madison, paid a $600 fall-protection citation, a $600 fall-protection-training citation and two respiratory-protection citations, totaling $1,200, Jan. 8. The company was issued the citations Dec. 15 during a painting and wall-covering job at 4000 International Lane, Madison.
  • Adams Outdoor Advertising Inc., Madison, reached a formal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 10 to dismiss a $2,500 guarding-floor-and-wall-openings-and-holes citation. The company was issued the citation Sept. 10, 2008, during a specialty-trade job in Kenosha.
  • Northern Metal and Roofing Co. Inc., Green Bay, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 12 to reduce a $1,500 rigging-equipment-for-material-handling citation to $1,050. The company was issued the citation Dec. 12 during a roofing job in Plymouth.
  • Advance Construction Inc., Green Bay, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 13 to reduce a $3,000 specific-excavation-requirements citation to $500 and a $1,500 ladders citation to $250. The company was issued the citations Dec. 18 during an excavation job in Oconomowoc.
  • Walters Wrecking Inc., Brookfield, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 15 to reduce a $375 demolition-preparatory-operations citation to $262.50. The company was issued the citation Jan. 8 during a demolition job at 455 Ogden Ave., Milwaukee.
  • R.M. Schlosser Excavating LLC, Pepin, paid a $600 specific-excavation-requirements citation and an $800 requirements-for-excavation-protective-systems citation Jan. 21. The company was issued the citations Oct. 30 during an excavation job at 106 Highway B, Shell Lake.
  • Security Luebke Roofing, Kaukauna, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 21 to reduce a $2,500 fall-protection citation to $1,350. The company was issued the citation Jan. 6 during a roofing job at 111 Main Ave., Kaukauna.
  • Fagen Inc., Granite Falls, Minn., reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 21 to pay a $5,000 safety-training-and-education citation. The company was issued the citation Dec. 22 during an industrial building job in Boyceville.
  • Raiserite Foundation Pier System Inc., Manitowoc, reached an informal settlement with OSHA on Jan. 22 to reduce a $1,500 requirements-for-excavation-protective-systems citation to $1,000, a $1,500 ladders citation to $1,000 and two specific-excavation-requirements citations, totaling $3,000, to $2,000. The company was issued the citations Jan. 9 during a specialty-trade job at 1115 Mulberry Circle, West Bend.
