The Wisconsin Bio Industry Alliance announced Wednesday that Flambeau River Biofuels has chosen New Jersey-based Honeywell International Inc. to help design its proposed plant in River Falls.

The proposed plant, expected to produce up to 18 million gallons of biodiesel per year, is slated to be operational in 2012 and will use wood waste and forest residue as its fuel source.

It is expected to be the largest second-generation biodiesel plant in the country.
