Waukesha County Board passes budget

The Waukesha County Board of Supervisors adopted its 2010 budget without significant fiscal changes at its Tuesday morning meeting. The budget holds the line on county taxes and spending below the rate of inflation, according to a Waukesha County press release.

The passage of the budget greatly limits the fiscal impact on Waukesha County homeowners, Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas’  said.

A number of partnerships are also included in the 2010 Executive Budget, including the implementation of a merger between the Department of Health and Human Services, the Aging and Disability Resource Center and Veterans Services Office and the creation of a Criminal Justice Collaboration Council task force to examine the future of the Huber facility and its programming.

Additionally, a committee will study a strategic alliance between the airport and the Department of Public Works to identify ways to provide better service and support to airport users, the release said.
