Washington, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors has announced that Doug Curtis has been promoted to vice president of chapter services, a new position at the association.

Since 1999, Curtis has served as ABC’s director of chapter development. In his new position, Curtis will be responsible for the creation and delivery of programs and services to assist ABC’s 79 chapters in boosting membership growth and professional development.

ABC’s Wisconsin chapter is based in Madison and has more than 800 firms as members, according to ABC’s Web site.

Before joining ABC – which represents 25,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with two million employees – Curtis was the director of member services at the American Traffic Safety Services Association from 1994 to 1999 and national account manager with Experian from 1987 to 1993.
