WisDOT to hold hearing on Henry Avenue Bridge project

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced Monday it will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Dec. 3, to discuss improving the Henry Avenue Bridge in Beloit.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rotary River Center, 1220 Riverside Drive, Beloit.

WisDOT’s plans for the project include replacing and widening the approaches and bridge deck to four lanes. A shared-use path, sidewalk and six scenic overlooks are also included in plans. Construction is currently scheduled for 2012.

The Dec. 3 meeting will have a variety of exhibits and maps available for review. WisDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions throughout the evening.
