MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s unemployment rate increased one-tenth of a percentage point to 7.8 percent in November.
That rate reported Thursday by the state Department of Workforce Development is 2.6 percentage points above the rate of 5.2 percent a year ago.
Nationally, the unemployment rate was 9.4 percent in November, which is up from 6.5 percent a year ago.
Wisconsin has lost 126,700 jobs over the past 12 months.
The Department of Workforce Development reports that there were 14,500 fewer people employed in November compared to October.
