EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) — The United States Department of Agriculture is holding a job forum in western Wisconsin this week.
President Barack Obama has asked USDA and other federal agencies to hold similar forums across the country to generate ideas to create jobs and economic opportunities.
Among the participants will be business owners, community members, state and local officials, union members, nonprofit organizations and economists. Other participants include an official from USDA Rural Development Wisconsin, the president of the Chippewa Valley Technical College and director of the Farm Service Agency in Wisconsin.
“Forum for the Future-Pathways to Wisconsin Job Creation” will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.
