Cudahy to renovate apartment building

Cudahy will use a $350,000 federal grant to buy and renovate the foreclosed Packard Hall apartment building.  The building, located at 4932 S. Packard Ave., was owned by Tri-Corp Housing Inc. The city plans to acquire the 18-unit building, now in foreclosure, this month and renovate it. After the project is complete, half of the building’s apartments rented to low-income people.

Cudahy will use a $350,000 federal grant to buy and renovate the foreclosed Packard Hall apartment building.

The building, located at 4932 S. Packard Ave., was owned by Tri-Corp Housing Inc. The city plans to acquire the 18-unit building, now in foreclosure, this month and renovate it. After the project is complete, half of the building’s apartments will be rented to low-income people.

The federal grant came from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, which has given money to buy and renovate foreclosed houses to Milwaukee, West Allis and Milwaukee County.
