MADISON, Wis. (AP) — More than $13 million is available in federal aid for hundreds of dislocated workers in Wisconsin.
The National Emergency Grant will help 2,800 laid off employees with job training, child care and other related expenses.
Most of the unemployed workers are manufacturing employees hit by layoffs at 68 companies across Wisconsin.
The Journal Sentinel reports Gov. Jim Doyle said the grant is the largest of its kind for Wisconsin.
