Miron Construction Co. Inc. plans to open a 10,000-square-foot office in Wauwatosa in August.

The Neenah-based contractor is leasing space in the Milwaukee County Research Park, which will be its fourth Wisconsin office, said Klaus Lemke, Miron vice president of Milwaukee operations.

Lemke said he has worked for Miron in the Milwaukee area for more than a year. The new office will let Miron hire up to eight people, he said. The goal is to land more Milwaukee-area hard-bid and negotiated contracts, he said.

“The bigger opportunity is for the negotiated work,” Lemke said. “People in Milwaukee don’t know about Miron.”

Construction will begin this month on the new office, he said.

Miron is working on several Milwaukee-area contracts, including the Job Corps Center in Milwaukee and the expansion of the Palermo Villa LLC pizza plant in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley Industrial Center.
