BELOIT, Wis. (AP) — One of the country’s largest suppliers of building materials is making its largest acquisition in the history of the Beloit company.
ABC Supply Co. Inc. is acquiring competitor Bradco Supply Corp. in a deal that’s expected to close by the end of June.
The Beloit Daily News reports the combined company will have 479 locations in 45 states and the District of Columbia with sales of more than $4 billion. Terms of the deal where not disclosed.
ABC owner Diane Hendricks said the acquisition will establish a strong foundation for the next phase of the company’s growth. Hendricks and her husband, Ken, founded ABC Supply in 1982. Ken Hendricks died in 2007 at age 66 when he fell through a sub floor under construction at his home near Afton.
Bradco is headquartered in Avenel, New Jersey.
