SPOONER, Wis. (AP) — State environmental regulators are looking for public comment on a proposal to build a new dock in Superior’s harbor.
Fraser Shipyards Inc. and the city want to build a 1,760-foot wall along the shoreline. The area between the wall and shore would be filled in to provide access to docking ships.
According to the state Department of Natural Resources, the project will require a host of federal, state and local permits and approvals. The project likely won’t cause any adverse effects on the environment, according to the agency.
The DNR will take comments on the proposal through May 21.
