WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — The SPX Corp. will invest $70 million in its Waukesha Electric Systems’ manufacturing plant in southeastern Wisconsin, the company announced Monday.
According to SPX, it will increase the size of the Waukesha facility by about 50 percent and provide the company with greater capability to make large, high-voltage power transformers.
The Charlotte, N.C., parent company expects the project to create 250 construction, engineering and manufacturing jobs in the Waukesha area.
According to SPX, it has 15,000 employees in more than 35 countries.
