MADISON, Wis. (AP) —  Most major road construction projects are being put on hold over the long 4th of July holiday weekend, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

There will still be lane restrictions on Interstate 94 south of Milwaukee, I-94 east of Madison and highways 41 near Oshkosh and 172 at Green Bay.

Most roadwork will stop at noon on Friday and won’t resume until 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Peak travel times over the holiday weekend are expected to be between noon and 8 p.m. both Friday and Monday.

Travelers can access traffic information by dialing 511.
