Foray into forums: wiconstructionforum.com is now live

When I was in elementary school, my friends and I would pass notes to each other behind the nun’s back (we didn’t know God was watching).

We also didn’t know it at the time, but we were running our first forum (if I could have only thought to pass the notes electronically I wouldn’t need to mess around with this blog).

Fast-forward about 30 years later, and now we’ve started another forum, this time for the construction industry.

Our latest foray into forums launched Thursday at wiconstructionforum.com, and it’s Wisconsin’s only forum dedicated solely to the construction industry.

We hope you will find it a useful tool for bringing your own views to our stories, engaging with others in the industry or just to read what others have to say.

Registering for the forum will take less than a minute and will allow you to follow along in the discussion or start your own topic.

Future plans include bringing a jobs board to the forum that will help you stay in touch with who’s hiring as the construction job market climbs out of the worst recession of our lifetimes.

For now, enjoy the conversation. The price is right: Free.

Joe Yovino is the Web editor at The Daily Reporter. Did he mention the forum is free? Did he also mention you can get to the forum through our homepage at www.dailyreporter.com, and click on “Construction Forum” under the “Community” tab?
