MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Higher education and business leaders will meet in Appleton on Monday to discuss ways to improve Wisconsin’s economy.
The first of three meetings in the 2010 Wisconsin Economic Summit Series will take place at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel.
On the agenda will be developing recommendations to lawmakers and the next governor for strategies to increase jobs, maintain a business-friendly environment and encourage investment and expansion.
Participants will include the University of Wisconsin System, Competitive Wisconsin Inc., the Wisconsin Technology Council, the Wisconsin Way and the Wisconsin Higher Education Business Roundtable.
The next summit will be Thursday, Aug. 26, in La Crosse to discuss managing the budget deficit.
