BELOIT, Wis. (AP) — It was a presidential visit for employees of a Beloit manufacturer.
Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, landed in a private plane at the Rock County Airport Thursday and pulled into the ABC Supply hangar. Then they headed to the company’s complex along the Rock River.
According to the Beloit Daily News, ABC Supply owner Diane Hendricks held a private luncheon for the Bushes, then introduced them to about 400 employees who had gathered in the company’s gym.
Hendricks, who co-founded ABC Supply — a wholesale distributor of roofing and siding materials, tools and supplies — with her late husband, Kenneth Hendricks, is prominent in Republican circles and a member of the Republican National Committee.
