WisDOT to hold meeting on WIS 24 in Milwaukee County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting to discuss roadway improvements to WIS 24 in Milwaukee County. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Hales Corners Village Hall in the Meadows Room, 5635 S. New Berlin Road, Hales Corners.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information regarding proposed improvements, and to obtain input that will assist the department in development and refinement of the proposed improvements.

The proposed project will resurface WIS 24 from the Waukesha County Line to 108th Street. Safety improvements will be made to the median openings by constructing left-turn lanes throughout the project. Other improvements include new signals at the 116th Street intersection, a new box culvert located near 111th Street, and new sidewalks along portions of the corridor.

Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Gary Metzer, WisDOT, 141 NW Barstow St., Waukesha, WI  53187.
